Participants to this programme must be computer literate and be able to understand the nature of their organisation’s and have access to workers and management at every level of the organisation.

Introduction

The programme is designed to provide an outcomes-based practical theoretical and learning experience about Skills Development with specific reference to trade union organisations skills gaps and employment equity issues. The programme is comprised of the following unit standards:

  • Develop and organisational training and development plan (US 15217);
  • Conduct an analysis to determine outcomes of learning for skills development and other purposes (US 15218);
  • Provide information and advice regarding skills development and related issues (US 15221);
  • Promote a learning culture in an organisation (US 252041);
  • Coordinate planned skills development interventions in an organisation (US 15232);
  • Advise on the establishment and implementation of a quality management system for skills development practices in an organisation (US 15228); and
  • Conduct skills development administration in an organisation (15227).

The programme duration can between six and nine months depending on the ETDP SETA processes.

The programme is pitched at NQF level 4 to 6. Participants to this programme must be computer literate and be able to understand the nature of their organisation’s and have access to workers and management at every level of the organisation.

The course will be facilitated in two phases: the contact session where theoretical aspects of the content will be explained and the second phases which is be focused mainly on portfolio of evidence build-up. The programme duration can between six and nine months depending on the ETDP SETA processes.

Accreditation framework and status: The SDF is accredited by ETDP SETA.
